AYSO 1335 Volunteer Positions Needed!

AYSO is an ALL VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION.  We would love any and all help keep this region operating smoothly!  It takes volunteers to keep this league running, most of the work can be done outside of normal business hours, from the comfort of your own home.  Would you be willing to help us?  We are in need of the following officers and all positions marked with an asterisk (*) will need to take an online training to learn their position and get certified.

Referees: Join our team of referees- from Center Referee to Lines person.  Learn the rules of the game and get front row seats to each match!

Registrar*: Answer questions and help parents with registration.  Help build teams in the system.  The busiest time for this position is at the beginning of each registration season: Fall: May-Aug and Spring: Nov and Feb-Mar.  Everything can be done on your own time from your home computer.

Assistant Referee Administrator: Help our referee administrator ensure our referees are up to date on training and make sure games are covered each week.  Referees needed mainly in the Fall (Sept - Nov), for All Stars in January and sometimes in the Spring (March-May).

Assistant CVPA: Help our CVPA in making sure all volunteers are certified; everything can be done from your computer and the bulk of the position is busy from August-October or until all volunteers are certified.

Assistant Regional Commissioner (ARC)*: Help our Commissioner and board in areas that are needing help.

Registration Banner Coordinator:
Contact OUSD schools & City to coordinate hanging up our registration banners prior to each season (Spring & Fall).  This involves calling and emailing the schools and hanging the banners in person.

Field scheduler: Schedule teams to line fields, set up before game day and clean up at the end of game day.

Game scheduler: Schedule games for the season.

Field Coordinator(s)

Social Media Liaison: Update social media pages as needed.

Fall Pictures & Awards Coordinator: We have the vendors, you just need to make the arrangements based on decisions made together with the board.  Send info out to Team Parents.  Can also handle sponsorships & fundraising.  This position is only needed in the fall.

Uniform Coordinator:  Help with uniform ordering and/ or distributing uniforms to teams.

All positions are required to get a background check, finger printing, take the online Safe Haven, Concussion Protocol, Sudden Cardiac Arrest & SafeSport courses along with the online course specific to the position held (if necessary).  All background check & fingerprinting fees will be covered by the league.

The commitment would be for one full year, Fall to Spring.  We meet as a board once a month  by zoom or in person (you get a free meal), typically the first Monday or Wednesday of the month.  All work is done on your own timeline.  Most communication, if not all is via email and text.
